I miss being here

The year has slipped by in a blur of hours, days, and months, and here we are, 10 months since my last post. This collection of family moments and platform to share them has always been a creative outlet.

My work has eaten up the better part of my days, and time with my kids is fleeting and precious.

Sam got me a new camera for my 38th birthday this year -- a kind nudge to keep taking pics and capture the fleeting moments.

This year was significant. We had 3 birthdays and for the first time in our family life, have 3 kids in their even years: 6. 4. 2.

We bought our first home and are getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas in it.

It's been a hard year, but one that was smattered with sweet moments with family, celebrations, first bus rides to school, first words, first full nights of sleep in a long time, and establishing roots in our new community; one that we wouldn't have picked as our first choice, but is shaping up to be a good place for us enjoy life.
